TV, film and the web

From his five seasons as gang lawyer Maury Levy on HBO’s legendary series The Wire to his role as an up-selling dermatologist on the hilarious web series, The Actress, Michael’s on-screen career has elevated him to an enviable “don't I know you from somewhere?” status.

The Producers

(multiple productions)

Michael was an original cast member on the First National Tour of The Producers, playing twelve roles a night and understudying the part of Max Bialystock, a role he’s since gone on to play in regional productions all over the country.

Les Misérables

(two national tours)

Michael has twice toured the country as the comically evil “Master of the House,” Thénardier—once in 2004 and again for the 25th Anniversary Tour in 2010.

An original, award-winning two-man show starring Michael Kostroff and Eric Leviton, A Little Traveling Music is an hour plus of some of the silliest songs ever written. it's been performed in New York and Los Angeles and was the recipient of the 2006 Nightlife Award for Best Cabaret Performance.
